Enterprise Business Systems - Convergence (EBS-C)

From 19-20 November, Ms. Nikki Cabezas, Director (A) EBS-C MFCT, COL Melvin Mitchell, Project Manager EBS-C, and members of the EBS-C team visited Rock Island Arsenal (RIA). During the visit, our team talked with senior leaders and teammates from Army Sustainment Command (ASC), Joint Munitions Command (JMC) and the Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (JMTC) about how EBS-C will modernize the work they do for the Army. We are thankful to the ASC team and Mr. Scott Kindberg, Executive Director, Support Operations for hosting us on our first trip to the Quad Cities! On day two the JMC team hosted a half-day discussion led by Mr. Jay T. Carr, Executive Director for Ammunition, Ms. Cindy Brock, ?OIB Operational Performance Director, and Mr. Bob Johnson, JMC’s ERP architect. Our RIA trip closed out with a tour of JMTC, one of the Army premier organic industrial bases, led by Mr. Gregory Lupton, Deputy Commander, RIA-JMTC. These site visits—along with many more scheduled for 2025—give our team an invaluable opportunity to bidirectionally engage our end users and co-create the future. ??On Oct. 23, EBS-C MFCT and CASCOM co-hosted over 110 Army leaders both in-person and virtually, for the first tabletop exercise (TTX) regarding Minimum Viable Capability Release (MVCR). ??This tabletop exercise was extremely valuable as EBS-C aims to improve its strategy and path by integrating stakeholders and users. ???Colonel Matthew Price , EBS-C MFCT Executive Officer said: “We viewed the?TTX?like a sand table during a brigade orders briefing – the opportunities while face-to-face to find gaps and seams in our plan.?We get to clearly see the dependencies and integration points from across the program and with our users and stakeholder.” ??We are looking forward to future tabletop exercises! Chief’s Corner is your backstage pass to witness transformation in action covering various topics about the Army’s largest business system modernization effort to date! ???? ???In this episode, CW5 Gregory Besaw, EBS-C MFCT Soldier Advocate, is joined by Mr. Mark Colley, a retired Army maintainer and Executive Director for TACOM’s Integrated Logistics Support Center. ILSC manages the full range of sustainment for the Army’s ground equipment, to include fleet management, maintenance and readiness. ??They discussed the importance of synchronizing data, streamlining processes at all levels of the enterprise and the joint effort between EBS-C and TACOM to better sustain the future fighting force. Mr. Colley explained that EBS-C can revolutionize TACOM’s predictive logistics and precision sustainment by granting “access to the information that allows them to make risk-based decisions now, to prepare for the future.” https://lnkd.in/eQkJR_Mm

Last week, Mr. Joshua Call, as the functional representative, assisted in an update on the final planning for development of the Ammunition Storage Activity value segment, as part of the US Army agenda to the Defense Interest Group (DEIG) in Munich, Germany. Mr. Call joined our PEO Enterprise and Army G4 teammates alongside personnel from the US Army, US Navy, DLA and SAP as well as participating coalition partners. The Army’s continued collaboration with 26 other nations and partners is vital as it works to define and test Disconnected Operations capability and Relocations capability.
