This year the theme for Hispanic Heritage Month is ‘Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together,’ highlighting the spirit and stories of innovation, resilience, and the unity of our community. As I reflect on the theme, I think about my parents, who immigrated here a few years before I was born, as they showed resilience uprooting their lives and moving to the United States to build a new life. To me, my parents were the ultimate ‘pioneers of change’ as they moved countries, without the benefit of speaking the language, with my older brother who was just over six months old. I am proud to be the child of immigrants, and likewise, I am proud of the role that eBay plays in creating economic opportunities for all.
