We specialize in contract, project-based Project and Program Management services, Procurement and Supply Chain Management services, Change Management services and Lean Management/Process Improvement services. Typically, we partner with IT Staffing/Consulting firms to serve large corporate clients as a Corp-to-Corp (C2C) subcontractor. However, we are available to serve corporate clients of any size directly on an as needed basis. Our projects normally range from 6-18 months in duration, and we invoice monthly assuming Net 30 terms. We look forward to working closely with you to understand your business requirements and how we might be able to solve or overcome the specific business challenges you or your clients face.

    Our focus here at EA Vela Consulting is on trying to deliver consistently high-quality, project-based consulting services at a reasonable rate to maximize the value we deliver to our clients. We aim to be problem solvers taking on a wide variety of different types of roles regardless of industry to serve our clients in as many ways as we can to help them achieve important strategic goals or objectives and to develop long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with our clients. Since we typically operate as a sub-contractor for leading IT Staffing and Consulting firms, we know we have two reputations to protect and grow (i.e. ours and those of the IT Staffing/Consulting firms we represent).   • Process Improvement Project Case Study Customer: Global Software Company Problem/Issue/Task: Review and document current state of the end-to-end product development launch process and the release management process. Identify opportunities to improve both the product development launch process and the release management process. Present proposals depicting future state and ideal state processes to present product improvement roadmap for improving both processes to members of leadership team. Duration: 3-month project Approach: * Meet with leadership and project teams to discuss both processes needing improvement * Review all existing process documentation currently available for both processes * Develop waterfall project plan with phases based on Six Sigma DMAIC model * Gemba walk each of the sub processes within the release management process *Co-facilitate Kaizen Event sessions (aka Improvement Workshop) where we worked with the project team to document the current state of the end-to-end product development launch process, identify feature requests that would be used to develop the future state version of the process and discuss and document an ideal state version of the process * Complete all documentation for all current state, future state and ideal state processes * Present recommendations to members of leadership team for approval Result: Achieved successful delivery of all required project deliverables.   • Procure to Pay (P2P) Platform Implementation Case Study Customer: Fast Growing Fintech Company Problem/Issue/Task: Take over the in-process implementation of a new procure to pay platform for a leading fintech company to ensure a smooth and successful implementation and work with internal stakeholders and the SaaS application vendor to customize the platform to optimize user experience while driving end-to-end sourcing process efficiency. Duration: 12-month project Solution: * Understand customer requirements and current state of supplier contract migration process. * Oversee the successful collection of enterprise-wide supplier sourcing contracts * Ensure that collected supplier contracts and associated vendor master supplier data was uploaded and successfully organized within the supplier P2P platform * Develop and document P2P workflows and work streams to support the end-to-end process * Develop and administer end user training to ensure that stakeholders understand how to use the P2P platform * Develop test cases and oversee successful UAT testing of platform to ensure that data is ready for push to client's P2P platform production environment * Work with vendor and internal customers to further customize the P2P platform post product implementation Result: Achieved successful delivery of all required project deliverables.   • CA PDR Compliance Project Case Study Customer: Global Insurance Company Problem/Issue/Task: Initiate a supplier solicitation campaign to collect payroll reporting data for all California based contractors delivering services to the company to satisfy the compliance reporting requirements for California's annual Payroll Data Reporting (PDR) requirement. Duration: 5 month project Solution: * Develop Waterfall based project schedule for the project * Work with project team members to identify all supplier contractors impacted by this regulatory requirement * Develop supplier contact list containing contact information for each impacted supplier * Work with Legal team to draft kickoff letter for distribution to impacted suppliers educating them of the requirement and business need for collecting and submitting this information to the State of California's Civil Rights Department website * Distribute supplier letter and collection template spreadsheet to impacted suppliers using a custom shared mailbox * Manage shared mailbox daily responding to supplier inquiries and collecting responses from impacted suppliers for storage on a project SharePoint site * Combined supplier responses together to form a single submission file for upload to State of California's Civil Rights Department Payroll Data Reporting (PDR) website Result: Processed, documented and archived over 240 supplier responses and successfully uploaded data file to CA PDR website prior to requires due date to complete regulatory requirement.   • CLM Platform Customization Project Case Study Customer: Large Financial Services Company Problem/Issue/Task: Manage the development and release of multiple customizations (aka enhancements) to a newly implemented and best in class Contract Lifecycie Management System used by their global procurement team for supplier contracting. Duration: 9 month project Solution: * Develop project schedule based on multiple 4 week Sprint cycles * Develop Kanban board where we logged customer feature requests submitted or obtained through VOC feedback sessions we hosted * Prioritize feature request board (aka Product Backlog) based on size, scope and value of item aiming to deliver at all times the features/benefits that offered substantial value to internal customers * Create Sprint Backlog where we assigned tasks that we selected to work on per Sprint cycle * Hosted Daily Scrum (ie. Standup) meetings with Vendor and project team to discuss and work on assigned tasks per Sprint * Worked with vendor and project team members to validate new features we were enabling in CLM platform’s UAT Test environment to ensure each feature we were enabling was functioning properly before we pushed the feature to the customers production environment Result: Succesfully implemented almost 100 system customizations to the CLM platform’s production environment receiving positive user experience feedback Have a client with a similar need?
