Our leadership team went to Specialty Food Association's Fancy Food Show where they were accompanied by Jupiter food creators Matt Remoroza (@MoroCooks) and Allison Chen (@Al.Chenny). We asked our COO Anuraag Nallapati to share his top insights from the conference—here are the standout trends that caught his eye. ?? Protein-Packed Innovations Brands across various categories are creatively boosting their protein content like egg white noodles from Miracle Noodle and protein-enriched pancakes from Crepini, LLC. ??International Flavor Trends Continue to Rise The U.S. market continues to embrace international brands and flavors, a trend likely fueled by viral social media content. Notable brands making a splash include MYOJO U.S.A., INC., Melona ice cream, and Consorzio del formaggio Parmigiano Reggiano. ? ??Emerging Flavor Profiles New flavors capturing consumer interest include hot honey and crème br?lée like Cedar's Foods' Organic Hot Honey Hommus and Elmhurst? 1925's Caramel Br?lée Cashew Creamer. Our team just returned from Natural Products Expo West, and our Head of Growth, Sipra Roy Halteman, is brimming with insights! Dive into what we discovered. What’s a trend you saw that got you really excited about the future of food? "I loved seeing all of the collabs between brands. We’re so used to seeing single ingredients or products, but in reality we eat and purchase multiple products at the same time. It’s fun to see the brand pairings and how they impact AOV. Some of my favorite collabs were the Haven's Kitchen Jalape?o Aioli + Vista Hermosa Tostones and Rudi's Rocky Mountain Bakery with Voyage Foods." What were some changes you noticed at this year's Expo West? "As younger generations increase their consideration for the values of the brands they purchase, we noticed more and more brands leaning into that in their branding and packaging. milkadamia is an example with their new packaging and labels highlighting their Artisan, homemade quality and taste." What foods really stood out to you? "My most memorable bites were from Simple Mills, Deep Indian Kitchen samosas, Patak's Foods Ltd butter chicken, Impossible Foods spicy chicken sando, Justin's new peanut butter candies, and Spindrift Beverage Co, Inc.’s new Grapeade and Fruit Punch flavor. My kids love all the new Made Good cookies and bars." What was your favorite booth design? "There were 3,000+ booths to check out, but Organic Valley’s cow milking simulation, Oatly’s cityscape, and Craize Snacks bright pastel backdrop definitely got my attention."
