The Battery Workforce Challenge Workshop was full of excitement! The day started with inspiring words from the director of Argonne National Laboratory, Kristen Wahl about the Battery Workforce Challenge’s mission - to inspire and train the future EV battery workforce. As sponsors, we were thrilled to announce our Breaktor circuit protection technology will be donated to the #BattChallenge teams during this competition for engineering students to design, build, test and integrate an advanced EV battery pack into a Stellantis vehicle.

Kristen also revisited the exciting September 23 announcement made alongside the White House and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), which underlined the Battery Workforce Challenge’s mission to inspire and train the EV battery workforce of the future. This collaboration emphasizes a national commitment to building a robust talent pipeline and achieving the DOE's ambitious net-zero goals by 2050. One exciting announcement is Eaton’ generous donation of their innovative Breaktors, advanced circuit protection technology that will give BattChallenge teams a unique hands-on experience with industry-leading components. We have an exciting announcement - the launch of our newest electric vehicle solution, the Battery Configuration Switch (BCS). The BCS allows 800-volt vehicles to charge effectively using 400-volt chargers. Developed in collaboration with Munich Electrification, this groundbreaking capability significantly expands the network of accessible DC chargers for #EV owners and the #eMobility industry.
