Ed was thrilled to be able to offer a ride to the legendary Peni last week, and thanks to BRSD vouchers, she was able to get to an important doctor's appointment free of charge. Berkeley Seniors and Persons with Disabilities can rely on our private accessible transportation service to get around Berkeley and up to ten miles outside the city limits.

There's rarely an ideal time to experience issues with your power chair. Fortunately for Robert, he was passing by our offices when his joystick began falling off. Our repair team was thrilled to be able to repair his equipment so quickly.

We were thrilled to be able to represent Easy Does It at the 8th Annual Black Joy Parade. It was a treat celebrating Black Joy and connecting the community with our safety net services that help seniors and persons with disabilities live independently.

Five major airlines—American Airlines, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, and United—have filed a lawsuit to overturn a Department of Transportation rule that mandates better treatment of wheelchair users and their mobility devices. The rule, introduced by former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, made mishandling wheelchairs a violation of the Air Carrier Access Act. The airlines argue that the rule is "unlawful" and are seeking to reverse it. Disability advocates, including Samantha Jade Duràn, who experienced wheelchair damage firsthand, emphasize the importance of this rule for ensuring dignity and safety for disabled travelers. The outcome of this lawsuit could significantly impact the future of air travel for passengers with disabilities.
