We can help solve our plastic waste crisis. A new report from Systemiq Ltd. shows how to achieve a genuinely circular PET economy by 2040. By adding innovative recycling technologies to supplement existing mechanical recycling, the report finds that we can slash projected greenhouse gas emissions from PET packaging by 58% and create close to 50,000 jobs. Jackie Elrod, Jasmine Crumsey Forde, Venus Johnston, Celin Light, and Aruna Velamakanni were recognized as Technology Rising Star Award winners, defined as “women who are helping to shape technology for the future.” Jennifer Wang was recognized as a Top Women in Finance winner, defined as “leaders within their function with a proven track record of driving results and women who help promote inclusion in their organizations."
