The price of construction materials continues to stabilize as lower energy costs bring down shipping rates. The price dip for oil barrels has materials priced roughly 2% less than last year, according to Associated Builders and Contractors. As energy stabilization continues, so will this trend. Bond Vet is a client we’ve been privileged to work with on multiple locations, including the construction of this emergency pet center in Woodbury, NY. For this 2,700 sq. ft. fit-out, we did custom millwork, underground piping, overhead MEP system, and high-end custom finishes. We installed pet drinking stations, wet tables for bathing animals, as well as fully furnished dental, surgical and x-ray rooms. Construction jobs were a big part of the job surge last month, with 25,000 industry jobs added in September. From September 2023 to September 2024, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports 238,000 jobs added to the construction industry. Proud to look back at 434 Broadway, which was a fully occupied space with hundreds of office and retail tenants around us as we completed this multifaceted infrastructure project. Here are some of the details of the project: - Fully upgraded building’s utilities – water, sprinklers, fire pump, emergency power, etc. - Full renovations on multiple floors - Installed a rooftop generator with large-scale commercial crane - Worked with city embargo on underground utility work - Full coordination with DOB, DOT and adjacent buildings on goals and timelines - Worked in three 48-hour shifts every week to complete on time #Construction #Contractor #GeneralContractor #NewYork
