Salary requirements for #FLSA exempt status have been changed – again! As Eastman & Smith employment lawyer James Yates, Esq., SHRM-SCP outlines in his latest article, the U.S. Department of Labor was found to have exceeded its authority when it increased the salary standard in April 2024. The result? Business owners and #HR managers should use the previous rule of $684 per week or $35,568 annually to determine whether an #employee is exempt.
