Our journey with this #FultonMarket trading firm began by immersing ourselves in their current space, uncovering three guiding principles that shaped the new HQ. [1] A structured aesthetic reflects their precision through intentional alignments and various scales of grid forms. [2] We embraced context by connecting the interior spaces to expansive skyline views through various forms of transparency and sight lines. [3] Their #WorkHardPlayHard mentality balances focus and social interaction with zones for deep work and vibrant collaboration. Thoughtful planning defines areas for work and play, while design elements like glass, soft seating, and millwork structures create a welcoming, functional space that fosters culture, creativity, and innovation. This space brings back so many great memories! ?? Eastlake Studio signed a lease in Tribune Tower the day the stock market crashed in 1987. For 30 years we occupied 3 floors of space in the Crown of that building and on our 30th anniversary we lead the relocation of Chicago Tribune from its namesake to Prudential Plaza, while working on our own workplace relocation. This was such a special moment for our team and we’re excited to see the timeless design have another life!

Known for her commitment to client relationships and leading collaborative teams, Mel will now oversee a team of design professionals, fostering their growth and setting the direction for the studio’s design excellence. In this expanded role, she’ll work closely with firm leadership to drive business development, ensure quality standards, and promote geniant’s values of inclusivity and innovation. Mel’s dedication to nurturing talent and commitment to industry-wide Diversity Equity & Inclusion reflect her passion for creating impactful, forward-thinking spaces that resonate with both clients and the community. Giedre Brazdzionyte, promoted to Interior Designer III at geniant, will lead projects from concept to completion. Known for her technical precision and creative problem-solving, Giedre brings a refined approach to space planning, materials selections, and brand focused solutions. Her hands-on experience in workplace interiors, combined with her passion for 3D modeling and color theory, will shape impactful, high-quality designs. Clarisse Wean, promoted to Technical Designer II, brings expertise in high-end residential design to elevate our retail and dispensary projects. Skilled in 3D modeling and hand sketching, Clarisse is known for translating creative concepts into precise, buildable plans. Their background in architectural theory and co-founding a student publication reflects a dedication to design integrity and a thoughtful approach to project details. Sahitya Arullalan, promoted to Technical Designer II, will enhance project documentation and field execution in her new role. Known for her detail oriented visualization skills, she is also passionate about integrating social perspectives into her work. Welcome home, Stockbridge! Here are a few snaps of the interior renovation our team delivered on the 53rd floor of?300 N. LaSalle, for a real estate investment management firm. The buildout skillfully balanced the reuse and preservation of existing conditions and infrastructure – while incorporating new features such as frameless glass office fronts, refined millwork, and newly minted spaces (adding social hubs and wellness rooms). In all, a very successful project completed alongside incredible partners and for a top-tier client.
