As we honor the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Native peoples this?Native American Heritage Month, the Eastern Shoshone Tribe is proud to announce we have been awarded a?$500,000 grant from the Mellon Foundation! This generous support will advance the planning and development of our?Museum and Cultural Hub, a space dedicated to preserving and celebrating our history, traditions, and culture. The facility will house our?Museum, Archives, Cultural Center, Enrollment Office, and Tribal Historic Preservation Repository and Office—providing resources for education, research, and community connection. Located in Ft. Washakie, WY, this initiative stands as a testament to the resilience and heritage of the Eastern Shoshone people.
