Sharing World Kindness Day! Clinical Social Worker, Natalie, spreads kindness as our own example of Mr. Rogers at Easterseals. She reminds all that a little kindness goes a long way and helps build connections to make each family stronger. ???? Natalie shares, “We believe in the power of family and relationships. By checking in with families and asking them ‘How they're feeling, How they're doing, How things are going, or, How their week has been,' throughout our sessions, we're helping to carry a little bit of the caregiver burden that they're going through. We're helping to hold it so they have more space for their child. This is a beautiful process called the parallel process, that I've seen happen over and over again. It helps parents build capacity, build connections, and build relationships with us and their child. Our goal is for families to leave with more space, energy, and the ability to feel better.” #WorldKindnessDay #SpreadKindness #Pediatrics #MrRogers

Do you or someone you know need a ride to vote? Easterseals is part of Lyft's 2024 Voting Access Campaign to help all voters get to the polls. Voting is a fundamental right, and through this initiative, Easterseals aims to underscore the importance of making elections more accessible for individuals with disabilities, including older adults, Veterans, and their families. We have a number of Lyft codes available to individuals at no cost, for round trip transportation to their local polling station. Please message us if you need a code or contact [email protected].
