?? Project Update – Coddington Cove Commons ?? Big changes are in the works at our Coddington Cove Commons Tradesmen Center Project in Middletown. Our crews are getting into a nice rhythm onsite with one crew grading the site while another crew is installing the subsurface sand filter and detention systems, drainage structures and pipe. A great example of teamwork in action! This site is set for a major transformation and we’re just getting started. Last week the East Coast Construction team, along with many colleagues and friends, got together to celebrate the retirement of one of the best, Lenny Silvia!! Lenny started working for East Coast Construction in 1998. For many years, he was a foreman and highly skilled operator working on and helping to run some of our toughest and most complex projects. His knowledge and experience allowed him to excel on a wide range of projects from high end residential homes to municipal and commercial projects. In a machine, there was nothing that Lenny could not do! When he was ready to step out of the machine, Lenny took on the role of superintendent overseeing and managing all of our work at Naval Station Newport. A position he excelled in for nearly ten years. Lenny’s outgoing personality, kind nature and willingness to go above and beyond whenever needed made him an excellent employee and a favorite of many customers. In addition, his capabilities and reliability made him a trusted colleague to all that worked with him. We are very fortunate to have had Lenny as a part of the East Coast Construction team and we truly appreciate his many years of hard work and dedicated service! Progress Update – Bristol, RI!! ?? After a cold and windy February, we are kicking our work into high gear at the Independence Park Boat Ramp & Drainage Improvements Project! The sheet pile cofferdam has been completed, the area inside the cofferdam has been dewatered and work has started on the construction of the new boat ramp. Progress Update – Seekonk, MA!! ?? With the help of some warmer weather, our crews have been hammering out work to construct the new Black Goose Market Place that will include a new Whole Foods Market, hotel, retail space, bank kiosk and future building pad. Currently, we are focused on excavating and laying the groundwork for the foundations of the new Whole Foods Marketplace and retail building that will be the centerpiece of this development. In addition, we are working to wrap up all of the remaining drainage, water and sewer infrastructure work so we can begin prepping the site for underground electrical and communications, site lighting, curbing, exterior concrete and the binder course of asphalt pavement.
