It’s a great day to Fight Hunger. Spark Change. The annual Walmart + Sams Club Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign is in full swing. Now through March 31, the purchase of select products + donations at the register help support people facing hunger right here in East Texas.

Today we held our annual Mobile Pantry Volunteer Appreciation Day in memory of Harley Crouch at the East Texas Food Bank. With these volunteers’ generous help and support, nearly 152,000 households received fresh produce and other items throughout our 26 county service area last year. Help us say thank you to this wonderful group that helps us fight hunger and feed hope to our neighbors.

All East Texas Food Bank Resource Centers in Longview, Lufkin, Texarkana and Tyler will be CLOSED on Friday, March 21st. --- Todos los Centros de Recursos del Banco de Alimentos del Este de Texas en Longview, Lufkin, Texarkana y Tyler estarán CERRADOS el viernes 21 de marzo.

Jorden Shankle, grandson of Ann and Elijah Menfece, spent his spring break giving back at the Deep East Texas Resource Center food pantry in Lufkin. He saw firsthand how service can make a difference in our community. It’s truly inspiring to witness this full-circle moment, where a family's dedication to helping others continues across generations. Jorden’s time and effort were a huge help, and we’re so grateful for his heart for service!

Thanks to juniors and seniors from Mobberly Baptist Church in Longview for volunteering with us yesterday. They spent the day building boxes for our Senior Box Program. What a great way to give back during Spring Break!

The ETFB Longview Resource Center would like to thank Andrew for all his hard work and dedication. He worked with us for 12 weeks, alongside his coach Tamela from Stella Kidd, gaining valuable work experience working in our pantry.
