We spent nearly a decade fine-tuning the design of The Mug. Its body has a subtle taper, so it sits balanced and easy in your hand. The handle fits three fingers comfortably and feels like a natural extension of your grip. The weight, the feel, the rotating cast of colors—it’s all intentional. So yes, we get a little giddy when The Mug gets some love. Thanks to Bon Appetit for naming #TheMug one of the best.

Thank you, CNN and Martha Shade, for this thoughtful story about East Fork, our founder Alex Matisse, and our wild and wonderful community of #Potheads.
His devotees call themselves “Potheads,” and they feverishly collect and trade his pottery online. He says he’s just trying to build an ethical brand that benefits his workers and his community - a business model that was put to the test when Hurricane Helene tore through his adopted home here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. He’s Alex Matisse, a potter-turned-businessman whose East Fork Pottery is a proud hybrid of art and American manufacturing. And, oh yeah, he’s also the great-grandson of the French painter and sculptor Henri Matisse. Read more: https://cnn.it/40BZ21n

We are in good company in Brooklyn! "The pottery brand joins a particularly dense lineup of homeware and clothing shops, including eight other stores that have opened on the block in the past few years. Here, on the stretch between Bond and Hoyt, someone shopping for home décor might even get a little overwhelmed" Thank you Curbed for the thoughtful feature. Thank you, Boerum Hill, for the warm welcome! Read the article: https://bit.ly/3DagC4m #RetailDairy #Brooklyn
