It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Hugh Harling, our former Executive Director. Mr. Harling served as the Executive Director of the ECFRPC from 2012 to 2022. Under his leadership, he guided the organization through many significant changes and welcomed many team members who continue to serve at the ECFRPC today. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends during this difficult time. We are grateful for his contributions and will always remember his legacy. Information regarding his memorial service can be found at https://lnkd.in/eMWqJn2Q

It's exciting to see the continued growth and impact of our Brownfields program! What started just a few years ago is now poised to become a flagship program for our region and state, thanks in part to new funding and expanded partnerships. We're incredibly excited to see the transformative work ahead, and we're grateful for the dedication of Luis Nieves-Ruiz, FAICP and his Economic Development team. The positive impact this program has on our communities is something that will be felt for generations to come. #CommunityRevitalization #BrownfieldsSuccess #EastCentralFlorida #FloridaBrownfields #CommunityRedevelopment
Tonight I had the opportunity to share some highlights about the ECFRPC's Brownfields program and the Resilient Corridors Coalition with the Kissimmee Planning and Zoning (P&Z) Board. The City nominated all of its P&Z members to be part of the Brownfields Advisory Committee. Thanks to SunRail for providing a smooth ride to/from Kissimmee.
