And - potentially revolutionising consumption patterns. 4 insightful facts: 1️⃣ Environmental Impact: It's estimated that a Library of Things can prevent 10 tonnes of waste from landfill and 15 tonnes of emissions annually. 2️⃣ Scalability The idea originated in the United States.The concept has been adopted in other locations such as Toronto or Berlin. In 2021, the initiative opened 10 new locations in London. 3️⃣ The model: Members can borrow items for a small fee (f.ex. hand tools, bread machines, carpet cleaners etc) - for the time they need them.
