According to a recent study from Bain & Company, discontent around GenAI has increased from 2023 to 2024 across almost every use case (https://lnkd.in/e8U5FTnU). Has the hype died down and are enterprises now focusing less on capability and more on enablement? Or does GenAI have a fundamental limitation that makes it unviable for enterprises?

Yesterday marked another incredible acquisition within the RAI world. Cisco has acquired Robust Intelligence - congrats to the RI team! Fun fact: Robust Intelligence was among the first companies we included into the database. This is the first large-scale acquisition of an AI Security company within the EAIDB universe, but is certainly not the only acquisition of 2024 so far. Social engineering and misinformation engineering are only becoming more prevalent as AI gets more realistic, cheaper, and more accessible. A study by Google DeepMind demonstrates that these types of AI misuses top the charts, squarely ahead of adversarial attacks, privacy compromises, and poisoning. While a lot of recent research focuses on enablement (faster fine-tuning, new models, etc.), there is a large body of innovation around trustworthiness (accuracy, hallucinations), security, and data privacy. ? ?????????? ?????????????? ???????????????? ?????? ?????????? ??????????????. Many startups within the RAI space have released products within the last six months, so it may take some time before there is widespread adoption. We might even see a boom as new GenAI safety solutions come to the forefront with products founded from better research.
