?? Eagle Investors Event Recap: Innovation & Value Creation! ?? On Saturday, the Eagle Investors continued their entrepreneurial journey, learning how to create innovation and craft a value proposition that attracts customers. They also dove into understanding target markets and analyzing competition! Here’s a snapshot: ?? Innovation: Presented by Eagle Investor cierra L. from Positive Black Male Association of Houston, Inc., students learned the power of problem-solving through product improvements, whether by making things better, faster, or more affordable. ?? Value Proposition: They explored how to stand out in the market by identifying what makes customers willing to pay—whether it’s uniqueness, quality, or cost-effectiveness. ?? Market Strategy: Through analyzing target markets and competition, students gained tools to understand demand and develop strategies for competitive advantage. The students left inspired to "think differently" and identify ways to bring real value to customers. We can't wait to see their ideas grow! ?? Thank you to our wonderful hosts at University of Houston?Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship (WCE)! Especially Danna Ceron Jaramillo, who shared the award-winning Wolf Center program, Natalia Lara from C. T. Bauer College of Business (University of Houston) talked about opportunities and enrollment at UH, and Liana Gonzalez-Schulenberg.? Thanks to our fantastic speakers, entrepreneur Venkat Abhishek Sambaraj of Vent-E, who showed our students how a Business Pitch works, and Kala Marathi of the UH Cougar Fund, who shared how to become a venture investor.? ?Eagle Investors Session 1 Recap! ?? Our Eagle Investor students dove into their entrepreneurial journey by exploring what it means to be both an entrepreneur and an investor! Here’s what they learned in the first session: ?? Entrepreneurs are visionaries with empathy, passion, grit, and a commitment to continuous improvement. While the rewards of entrepreneurship can be great, it takes hard work and involves significant financial risk—not for the faint of heart! ?? Investors take calculated risks, aiming to grow their money by backing great ideas and visionary founders. Students learned about different types of investing, including angel investing and venture capital, where high risk can lead to high rewards. ?? The takeaway? Success happens when entrepreneurs and investors collaborate for a win-win outcome, sharing both the risks and the rewards! ?? We also got a crash course on Handshakes and Introductions from one of our very own Eagle Investors,?Jaylen Campbell of Spring Woods High School. Thank you to our venue partner Greentown Labs. Kendrick Alridge gave our students a tour of the facility that provides opportunities for founders accelerating climate tech innovation.? We also had presentations from?Aaron Fitzgerald and Nisha Desai showing their journeys within the climate tech space from an entrepreneur and investor perspective.
