  • Did February feel busy to anyone else? Check out these #monthlyMEDrics: We had as many incidents and responses in February (with three less days in the month!). The winter is in full swing: Vail remains our busiest station and "traumatic injury" has once again take the top reason for calling 911. However, "traffic incidents" took the third spot last month - winter driving conditions are no joke! It goes without saying, but be safe out there and don't hesitate to call us when you need us. Just a few notes: The information presented in this graphic is based on incident dispatch call type. An incident is a count of each single, unscheduled emergency event for which EC Paramedics' assistance is requested. A response is a count of each time we responded to an incident. We hope you enjoy this more in-depth look into the activities of your Eagle County Paramedic Services. #monthymetrics

  • It's hard to believe that it's been a year since Steve died while responding to a backcountry rescue call today in Vail. Steve’s dedication, compassion and unwavering commitment to serving others left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working alongside him. There's a permanent hole in our hearts and in the community and organizations that he loved. There are many ways to honor Zman: take a few runs on the mountains he loved; share stories and memories; consider donating to the Steve 'Zman' Zuckerman Memorial Endowed Scholarship. Started by Steve’s friends and family, this scholarship continues Steve’s passion for saving lives by providing funds for students earning a degree in the Health Sciences Safety program. @ColoradoMtnCollege colomtn.me/Zman
