It’s time for #55for55, and today we’re showcasing one of our most active programs! EAC’s Senior Health Promotion plays a vital role in enhancing the lives of seniors by providing opportunities for physical activity, creative expression, and social connection. We provide activity specialists to senior centers across Nassau County to lead a diverse range of wellness classes, including: ?? Tai Chi and Yoga for balance and relaxation ??? Chair Aerobics and Zumba for movement and cardio health ?? Music Therapy and Line Dancing to lift spirits and engage minds ??? Ceramics, Creative Writing, and Arts & Crafts for creativity and self-expression For added accessibility, the program features two weekly Zoom classes. It also extends beyond these activities by providing health and nutrition screenings, helping seniors maintain overall well-being. The ultimate goal is to empower older adults to stay active and independent, both at home and in their communities. Participants often share how much better they feel after engaging in these activities, highlighting the importance of not only physical exercise but also the sense of community fostered through the program. By addressing both health and social connection, EAC Network is helping Nassau County seniors lead healthier, more connected lives. #EACNetwork #55for55 #GivingTuesday #December3 #55yearsofEAC #Seniors #dontforgetourseniors #HealthyAging #SeniorWellness #CommunityCare

?? #55for55: Keeping Nassau County Seniors Safe & Warm ?? Winter in New York can be long and challenging, especially for some low-income Nassau County families and seniors. For 30 years, EAC Network’s two weatherization assistance programs (HEAT and WRAP) have delivered direct support services that help members of our community stay in their homes and out of costly institutional care. ?? Warm Homes, Warm Hearts Our Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) assists low-income households in covering the rising costs of heating and energy needs—because no one should have to choose between staying warm and other essentials. ?? More Than Just Assistance Our Weatherization Referral And Packaging (WRAP) program provides peace of mind, ensuring homes are not only warm, but safe—with home repairs, weatherproofing, and even cooling options for those in need. These improvements in energy efficiency lead to reduced heating costs for the homeowner. ?? A Caring Connection An EAC case manager assesses the homeowner’s needs and eligibility, develops a plan to meet those needs, and links the applicant with available programs. Assistance with applications for related benefits is also provided. Today’s #55for55 feature shines the spotlight on EISEP: EAC's Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program! ?? Empowering Seniors to Age in Place In Nassau County, many older adults wish to stay in their homes but face challenges managing daily life. That’s where the Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program (EISEP) steps in! ?? Our Mission: We connect seniors 60+ to essential services—like in-home care, case management, respite, home-delivered meals, and more—so they can safely age in place and avoid costly institutional care. ?? How It Works: EISEP Case Managers assess each senior’s unique needs and create tailored care plans, ensuring access to services that promote independence. Cost-sharing is income-based, making help accessible to all. ?? Together, we’re empowering older adults to thrive at home and live with dignity. #EISEP #EACNetwork #55for55 #SupportSeniors #AgingInPlace #CommunityCare #EACNetwork #LongIsland #GivingTuesday To donate and learn more in honor of Giving Tuesday, visit the Giving Tuesday, visit: https://hubs.ly/Q02YQt3f0 This Giving Tuesday, on December 3rd, EAC Network invites you to be part of our 55-year legacy of impact across New York City and Long Island!
