What started out as Caterpillar Tractor Company in 1925 is known today as Caterpillar, Inc., a global leader in construction & mining equipment. The iconic company celebrated its 100-year anniversary last week. Our team is currently working on a new HVAC remodel of both floors of the main office of Caterpillar’s Decatur facility. Last week, Jim Richbark, our shop superintendent for E.L. Pruitt’s sheet metal division, led three students from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign of Illinois Urbana-Champaign robotics and computer science program on a tour of our sheet metal fabrication shop. The students appreciated learning about workflow optimization, manufacturing automation, technology & the team’s attention to detail. “We all loved the tour,” said student Advait Patel. “It was great to learn how the shop works, what the workflow looks like as well as different parts of the business.” Thanks for coming by!

Our team was up bright and early Saturday to replace an MRI chiller unit at Springfield Clinic. The chiller cools the internal components of the magnet of the MRI. Great teamwork on this one.

Our team is remodeling bathrooms and adding a physical therapy area at Pana Community Hospital that simulates a home environment for patients who need extra rehab before discharge. #healthcare
