Medical Translator & Linguistic Validation Consultant, English > French, ISO17100:2015, Human Factors specialist in a former life
I haven’t been very active on LinkedIn recently. So, what have I been up to? I spent a large part of the Summer learning about #LinguisticValidation with Nur Ferrante Morales intensive and exhaustive training course (https://lnkd.in/gK6sFyrz). I've always been convinced of the importance of putting the target audience at the center of my approach: whether it's the user when I was a #HumanFactors specialist or the reader when I #translate. Linguistic Validation is a great opportunity to put this into practice to ensure the validity of the data gathered and I have added it to the #services I offer. I have updated my profile on different platforms (LinkedIn, Institute of Translation and Interpreting, Chartered Institute of Linguists…) but still have to update my website (I know, I should have eaten the biggest frog first ??). I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ana Sofia Correia for pointing me in this direction, Nur for the quality of her course and her dedication, and Helen Williams DPhil and Kelsie Pettit DipTrans MCIL for our stimulating chats on #LV. #LinguisticValidationConsultant #MedicalTranslator #HumanFactors ---------------------------------------------------------- ??
