Hamzah Shanbari, who serves as director of innovation for The Haskell Company as well as for their corporate accelerator, Dysruptek—and recently published 'Paperless Builders,' a book covering his experience in construction tech and how he sees the industry evolving—lives and breathes innovation. We were lucky enough to sit down with him at our recent Construction Tech Conference to learn a little bit more about his roles and what it means to effectively innovate. "The most important aspect of an innovation team that drives collaboration is openness," Shanbari said. "It's creating that culture that it's okay to share thoughts, it's okay to present ideas ... There is no such thing is that's a dumb idea or that's not a good idea. All ideas are good ideas, but what do you do with them and how do you execute on them is the key."
