Last week our team participated in Transportation & Construction GIRL (TCG) Day. Sponsored by the HOYA Foundation, TCG Day brings together trades organizations to host exhibits that give young women an opportunity to learn about careers in the transportation and construction industries. Our exhibit had several hands-on activities where attendees could experience some of the daily activities of an electrician, including stations with traffic signals, a wiring board, conduit bending, and wire cutting and stripping. We were proud to be the breakfast sponsor for this year's Rocky Mountain Chapter NECA tournament! This year’s tournament supports efforts with the ELECTRI International. We recently attended the HCC (Hispanic Contractors of Colorado) June general membership meeting and dinner at the Kiewit Headquarters, which featured their annual project preview and infrastructure update. Featured speakers include Amy Ford, Executive Director of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI); Chessie Price, Communications Specialist at CDOT; Alan Salazar, CEO of Denver Water; and Alexis Serrano Castro, Manager, SBO, Civil Rights Division of Regional Transportation District-Denver (RTD).
