Another demo job in the books for the A-Team!!! We were proud to support Hayden Tower Service with an explosive felling of a communications tower in Kansas. With critical infrastructure to the in all directions the general contractor had powerlines removed so it could drop to the West. With the highway shut down the team quickly popped it and collapsed it in the intended direction. The dishes on the tower made the center of gravity difficult to predict but we think they did a pretty good job getting it where it needed to go! #demolition #blasting #explosives #mining #engineering

16000 holes later the Dykon team completed another successful project. They encountered and overcame huge challenges with some of the most difficult-constantly changing geology. 192,000 feet was drilled in 6 weeks with the John Henry's turning and burning. Gitter' done! This little pit here was blasted over 50 years ago without any floor control making this a super challenging site with buildings and houses at less than 150 feet. With varying depths of shot rock overburden from 2 to 7 feet the guys did an amazing job controlling these blasts. Is this stuff abrasive? I will let the bit tell the story. This is 17 holes in at less than 400 feet of drilled borehole.
