When we say we are working hard for you – we mean it! That includes our ongoing initiative to get the lead out in the most vulnerable areas of our city. We had an incredible opportunity to host? The Rockefeller Foundation President Dr. Rajiv Shah, his team, and representatives from Ann Arbor-based?BlueConduit here in Detroit?to engage in a roundtable and a Lead Service Line Replacement Program site visit in the Pinegree Park Neighborhood. With the help of the 2019 grant awarded by The Rockefeller Foundation, we were able to partner with BlueConduit to use its machine learning technology to predict the locations of lead service lines.

Last week, DWSD announced the launch of the new EasyPay Plan at Mayor Mike Duggan’s Citywide Charter-Mandated Community Meeting. This Thursday, DWSD will be at Second Ebenezer Church at 4-8 p.m. to help residents and all customers with a delinquent balance to enroll! The EasyPay Plan was developed to alleviate past-due balances and keep water running by reducing barriers. This new program is easy to enroll in with no income restrictions and a low enrollment fee. With only $10 down, customers can be enrolled in the plan and the remaining balance will be spread out across 36 months.
