Today DVCS steps forward in solidarity for International Women's Day (IWD) 2025 on March 8 to help #MarchForward. Today is an opportunity to acknowledge the progress made towards gender equality while also recognising and reflecting on the work that remains. This year's theme is March Forward, because taking action and swift decisive steps can help achieve gender equality. Addressing systemic barriers and biases- both as individuals and collectively - are increasingly important steps to positively impact women's advancement. Systemic barriers and biases impact Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, women with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ women and other marginalized groups. These women face not only gender inequality but multiple other forms of discrimination which can make it harder to access resources necessary to accelerate their success and safety. Everyone should be able to live a life of safety, one of authenticity and free from all forms of violence. How will you accelerate action to support gender equality? #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction #MarchForward

Last week, DVCS attended a Beyond Bank event, where we, along with our colleagues at Toora, were received a $10,000 donation, to enhance our supports for clients. These donations play a crucial role in ensuring we can continue providing critical resources to those impacted by domestic and family violence, helping them regain a sense of safety and dignity. Beyond Bank have been a supporting partner of DVCS for many years and we thank them for their ongoing efforts in taking actionable steps towards building a safer community.? We look forward to continuing this partnership well into the future. Beyond Bank Australia
