Today, on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, we join the United Nations’ UNiTE campaign to raise awareness and demand action, #NOEXCUSE. Violence against women and girls remains one of the most pervasive human rights violations, affecting 1 in 3 women globally. For over 51,100 women in 2023, this violence ended in their murder—most often by someone they knew. At The Fund for Women and Girls, we fight for a future where every woman and girl is safe, empowered, and free. We are honored to announce a significant grant award from The Foxwynd Foundation and the Bentley family. This donation, made possible through the Foxwynd Foundation Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), represents a generous commitment to supporting the mission of the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County (DVCCC). This $50,000 grant will strengthen DVCCC’s capacity to provide trauma-focused services to survivors of domestic violence in Chester County. These vital services empower individuals to rebuild their lives with dignity and resilience. The Foxwynd Foundation’s mission is to act as a lifeline for communities in need, enhancing access to essential pillars of human dignity and potential, including healthcare, housing, and sustainable environmental initiatives.
