  • Meet Caryn Oberholzer. Dutch Digital Design curator and senior digital designer at our partner agency Born05 | part of ACE - a Dutch digital branding agency based in Utrecht. A three part social snapshot or - as they like to say in the (digital) art world - a triptych. Short but snappy. About combining her fine art talent with her digital design skills, living and working in the Netherlands, being a new mum at work, Born05 and more specifically the KLM Ask Atlas AI work they created and she absolutely loves ?? This first instalment is mostly about meeting Caryn. ?? ?Caryn is originally from South Africa ?? Has always been passionate about art ?? ?Studied Information Design at the University of Pretoria ?? Lives and works in Utrecht ?? ?Is a working mum of a cute one-year-old ??♀? Choosing between Fine Arts and Information Design Although being a talented art student, Caryn liked the idea behind Information Design: problem solving, designing objects for a purpose, and communicating this purpose through design. It was a new challenge for her. She saw a future in branding as well as digital-and motion design. Combining her fine art skills with graphic design to display information effectively. ?? Her career path: from visual designer at traditional advertising and media companies in South Africa to digital designer in the Netherlands. ?? What Caryn loves about (working in) the Netherlands: 'I love the directness here versus having to read between the lines in South Africa. It enables you to implement feedback quicker, iterate more efficiently and faster, getting better results.' ????     27001 x hoera! We zijn goed door de recente audit heen gekomen. Vanaf nu zijn we ISO 27001 certified! We praten even met Dirk Schluter, founding partner van Faraday. ?????? ?????????? ???????????? ????????????????????????... ???????? ???????? ???? ?????? ????????? ISO 27001 is een wereldwijd erkende, onafhankelijke norm die bewijst dat ons Information Security Management System goed in elkaar zit. Zo kan iedereen zien dat we een betrouwbare partner zijn voor onze opdrachtgevers. ?????????????????????? ???????????????? ???????????????????? ????????????... ?????? ???? ?????? ???? ???????????? ????????????????????? Een ISMS heeft betrekking op onze hele organisatie; van hoe je omgaat met bezoekers in je pand, tot hoe je je netwerk inricht of je projecten aanpakt. Het is de optelsom van alle afspraken en processen die we intern hebben opgezet om informatie te beveiligen. ???????????? ???? ?????????????? ?????????????? ????????????????? We houden ons bezig met het ontwerpen en ontwikkelen van digitale producten. Daardoor werken we dagelijks met gevoelige informatie. Tegelijkertijd zien we de dreiging van cybercrime, veranderingen in wetgeving, etc. Combineer dat met de hoge lat die wij, net als onze klanten, voor onszelf leggen... Dan is zo’n ISO certificaat een logische stap! ?????? ???????????? ???????? ?????????????? ???????? ???????????? ??????? De omgang met vertrouwelijke gegevens en privacy namen we altijd al serieus - het ISO certificaat erkent dit en maakt het expliciet. Het wordt in de markt ook steeds vaker een vereiste om samen te kunnen werken. Organisaties moeten erop kunnen rekenen dat hun gegevens bij partners in goede handen zijn. ???? ?????? ???????????? ?????? ???????????????????? ???????? ???????? ??????? De grap is dat eindgebruikers er in de praktijk juist weinig van gaan merken. En dat is precies de bedoeling! We verminderen de kans op lekken en andere ellende, zodat zij zorgeloos kunnen werken, shoppen of spelen. Aan de andere kant zien we in de B2B markt dat professionele gebruikers steeds meer waarde hechten aan zo’n certificaat. ?? ?????? ?????????????????????? ???? ????????????, ???????????? ???? ???? ??????????????? Zeker niet! De certificering is een belangrijke mijlpaal, geen eindpunt. Beveiliging van informatie is een onderwerp dat continue focus nodig heeft. ISO 27001 vereist juist dat we onszelf, ons beleid en onze procedures blijven verbeteren. En in de toekomst blijven ze ons toetsen, dus wij blijven scherp!
