The Durham Black Sox were one of several Negro League teams that played in the Bull City (along with the Durham Eagles and Durham Rams), from the 1920s through 1963. Pictured is the 1938 Black Sox team. Like other Black baseball teams of that era, they helped shape the future of baseball by showcasing talent that was often overlooked by the segregated major leagues. Today, Durham Bulls Baseball Club pay tribute to these former teams each year by wearing Durham Black Sox uniforms (pictured). #durhamsportsblackhistory ??: Durham Bulls
