"I’ve always been interested in the medical field and helping people. I love the science aspect of my job and being able to play a vital role in the care of our patients. I’ve been on the side of being a patient, and it’s not the most enjoyable thing that comes to mind. It can be difficult to undergo a procedure or even a simple exam and not know what the outcome will be. Many of the patients we see are nervous about test results, some are in pain and scared, while others are fearful of needles and terrified of having an IV. It’s important to me that patients feel comfortable and trust me to take care of them. I do my best to show my patients kindness and compassion and to comfort them when needed. Working in healthcare has shown me to slow down and really appreciate the life we have and to be kinder and gentler toward others because we never know what someone might be going through. If I could describe my career in one word, I'd say Impactful. I started my healthcare career over 20 years ago by doing clinical work at Hines V.A. Hospital. My time at the V.A. taking care of our veterans was incredibly special and something I’ll never forget. I’m thankful to have spent two years there before graduating and moving on to another hospital and to DMG now Duly. The experiences I have had through these past many years have impacted me in ways I could not have imagined, and I am so grateful for. I have learned so much from my patients and continue to learn from the vulnerability and strength they have shown." - Kristin L., CT Technologist If you’re powered by patient joy like Kristin, consider joining the Duly team today: https://bit.ly/3GXYqtE

"I took a slightly different route to becoming a doctor. Before going into medicine, I was a classical violinist. Rehearsing and performing music taught me many important skills that have helped me become the best doctor I can be. I also have a master's in public health, which gave me a passion for prevention. I love that gastroenterology offers so much variety. In the morning, I can help clinic patients address their constipation or acid reflux, and then in the afternoon, I can help patients prevent colon cancer with a colonoscopy. If I could tell myself anything at the beginning of my journey toward becoming a gastroenterologist, it would be always to take the time to listen. Frankly, not many people love talking about their GI issues, so it's essential to build that trust by listening to their stories and providing clear explanations. Whether it's showing them their CT scan, teaching them how a disease progresses, or reviewing how a medication works, education empowers them with the knowledge to take steps toward feeling better." - Michelle Godbee, MD, MPH, Gastroenterology If you’re powered by patient joy like Dr. Godbee, consider joining the Duly team today: https://bit.ly/3GXYqtE

"I truly believe that I was destined to be a healthcare provider. I grew up following my mother around the hospital where she worked, and I remember being fascinated with the hospital atmosphere. Seeing the impact that physicians and nurses made every day was inspiring to me. I am happy to be able to care for others in my current role and proud to be a part of an organization like Duly that supports APPs. One piece of advice I would offer to someone aspiring to work in healthcare is to go for it! Becoming an APP is a rewarding journey, and it is a career to be proud of. Every day I can see the positive impact I make on patient's lives. APPs will be increasingly important in the future to help improve care access for patients. It is an exciting time to become an APP. Our hospital follow-up visits are so special. We sometimes have to make lifesaving clinical decisions in the office, which may include directing patients to the hospital emergency room. Seeing our patients return to our office healthy and safe is always a gift we treasure. Having patients greet us with a hug and smile, expressing gratitude for our efforts means the world to us. Our patients are like family to us and moments like these remind us why we chose to become healthcare providers." -Brock Piche, DNP, APRN, Internal Medicine If you’re powered by patient joy like Brock, consider joining the Duly team today: https://bit.ly/3GXYqtE

"I chose a healthcare career, specifically in nursing, because I wanted a job I could take pride in. I’ve always been interested in medicine; even as a child, I knew I wanted to get into a career where I felt I was making a difference. I chose nursing because not every day is the same; things don’t become boring or redundant. Medicine is constantly changing and evolving, and I love that I always get to keep learning. I am an Oncology nurse, so my favorite part of my job is connecting with my patients and their families to make cancer treatments less intimidating. I have many special moments and memories with patients that have impacted me. But honestly, as an Oncology nurse, a patient telling me that I made their chemo experience less scary or intimidating is what affects me the most. I love it when patients come back years after their treatments to visit and say thank you again. I’ve also had family members come back, even after their loved one, who I cared for, has passed away, to tell me the impact I had on them during treatment. Those experiences that impact me the most are knowing years later the effect I have left still sticks with my patients and their families." -Nicole B., Oncology Nurse If you’re powered by patient joy like Nicole, consider joining the Duly team today: https://bit.ly/3GXYqtE #Hiring #HealthcareJobs
