Chad said, “margins are thin and we must move people from performing mundane work and control our cost”. When Kevin Hill and I first met in 2018, I was slinging memberships for the Blockchain in Transport Alliance. 9 out of 10 founders I spoke with during that time could not whip out a credit card and sign up any faster to be a part of developing data interoperability standards for the development of a blockchain-powered freight market of the future. At the time, there was no doubt in my mind blockchain would be ubiquitous by now. The problem was simple and the solution was evident. If we make the data interoperable, we can reap the benefits of the immutable ledger that blockchain technology could be for freight markets. Turns out it is hard for buyers, sellers, and brokers to agree on anything, nonetheless, data standards for rate sheets, PODs, BOLs, invoices, assessorial receipts, etc. for an industry as segmented as freight is. While the biggest players were investing in the development of Data Standards, Marcus Cooksey and Vish Puttagunta were years ahead of their time in teaching DUKE.AI how to audit/digitize freight docs like an animal.
