We had a wild time ??? with the Mola Model event during our Engineering Olympics last week! Each competitor used Mola sets to create the lightest structure that could withstand all 5 levels of wind load.

>>> A TREMENDOUS MILESTONE <<< Please join us in recognizing Rick Robertson, D. Eng., PE as we celebrate his 40 Year Licensure Anniversary! Rick has been serving clients and contributed to projects across Texas throughout his career. We are so grateful for his mentorship and dedication to the engineering profession. Last month, our team had the honor of bringing together clients, colleagues and employees from throughout Rick's career to celebrate his contributions and accomplishments. We heard from several long-time clients and coworkers about the impact he has made on us all. We even got to hear from Rick: his pride for his work and team continues to shine. We are so proud to have you on the team, Rick!

>>> REBUILDING HISTORY <<< We are proud to be part of the re-building of the Knesek Building in Fayetteville, Texas! Originally built in 1875 during a time of heavy Czech immigration, it was home to the first local newspaper and housed a dance hall and the Buck Horn Saloon. Today, it is being rebuilt to house a community center and theater. We are looking forward to seeing it in its finished state: a historic replica with a structure to withstand many decades of community enjoyment! Architect: BBAx Architects GC: Gaeke Construction

DUDLEY provided the structural steel connection and stair design. We love getting to work on the contractor side as well with Turner and Star Welding and Fabrication.
In celebration of the completion of the Houston Texans Football Operations Renovation project, we attended a commemorative football signing event! SVP of Operations Juan Rodriguez, Facility Operations Director Brent Nacarra, and CFO Marilan Logan were present to meet with our Houston team, and we were honored to celebrate this milestone with them. ? With the project complete, the Houston Texans players and staff can now enjoy their newly renovated space. The project included new meeting rooms and offices designed specifically for the GM and coaching staff, aimed at increasing operational efficiency and collaboration. Additionally, renovations to the adjoining mezzanine area and the weight room will further modernize the team's facilities, reinforcing NRG Stadium's status as a premier venue for sports excellence. ? Thank you to everyone who worked hard on this project and to the Houston Texans for hosting such a fantastic event! We look forward to continuing our relationship with their team. #TurnerConstruction?#BuiltByTurner?#OurPeopleOurStrength?

>>> TESTING EXISTING STRUCTURES <<< DUDLEY was involved in the renovation of the La Salle Hotel in downtown Bryan, Texas. As part of the renovation, the Owner wished to add a new canopy to the front of the building. The wall had existing anchors and evidence of a previous canopy, but there were not drawings indicating the canopy's size. To determine whether the anchors were adequate to support the proposed new canopy, we analyzed the new canopy and provided the reactions it would impart on the anchors, then monitored the testing of the anchors. Unfortunately, the existing anchor did not have sufficient capacity as they began to yield at a load below the required reaction, but we are glad to have identified and addressed the deficiency for the owner rather than risk a failure after the new canopy was installed.

Join us in celebrating Caleb Ray, PE, who passed the grueling SE Exam and is now a licensed engineer! Read how Caleb describes his path to achieving this career milestone. "It is that responsibility and the push to be GREAT that has given me the confidence and skills to pass the SE Exam and become a licensed engineer." The "depth" portions of the exam have pass rates as low as 14% - so this is a feat to truly be proud of. Well done, Caleb Ray, P.E.!
