US View: Leaders warn that too many rules could hold back new ideas and push companies to move to areas with fewer restrictions. ?? UK Stance: The UK is cautious, citing national security and unclear global rules as key concerns. ?? EU & Others: They believe strong, clear rules are needed to keep AI safe and to protect sensitive data across borders. But, what happens when global AI regulation becomes fractured? Without common standards, companies might start moving operations to places with fewer restrictions. This shift can make it harder for different systems to work together and can slow down secure, cross-border collaboration on sensitive data.
