We are working to make the world a better place than we found it, one community initiative at a time.
关于我们
DTCare was incorporated in 2019 to expand humanitarian operations already being conducted by the President, Marco Gruelle, and his board members. Within one year of DTCare's founding, we set up operations on 4 out of 7 continents. In addition to our USA flagship, DTCare satellite offices are located in Lebanon, South Africa, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ukraine. DTCare has made a discernable difference across the globe through our selected projects and even though there is still an immense amount of work to be done with the projects already under our wing, we are always willing to look at new opportunities, utilizing our strengths to solve today’s issues around the world.

Meeting?Joe Brazzle?in?Truskavets, Ukraine,?was a deep dive into?what true commitment to veterans looks like. Joe brings?energy, passion, and years of expertise?in?adventure-based counseling, helping veterans process their service experiences, rebuild resilience, and transition back into civilian life. His journey to?Hero’s Compass program, run by DTCare?started at a global conference, where he met?Courtney Robson, DTCare’s?Ukraine Country Manager. Seeing the need for veteran support in Ukraine,?Joe stepped up. Now, he’s here, leading?B.R.A.V.E. Training, an intensive program that is?certifying our entire Hero’s Compass facilitation team?to deliver the most impactful?resilience-building and empowerment techniques?for Ukrainian veterans. The?B.R.A.V.E. Training Protocol (Building Resilience and Adventure for Veterans Empowerment)?is a?structured, multi-session certification program, ensuring our facilitators are fully prepared to?lead veterans through PTSD recovery, moral injury healing, and transition challenges. This is only the beginning. Over the next few months, I’ll be sharing insights and real moments from?our journey ahead, including?videos from the field. For now, I’ll leave you with?Joe’s message to Ukrainian veterans: "The sun will rise again! If you just hold on, the sun will show up again. And there is always another opportunity" More to come...

Proud to share that I have officially completed the?B.R.A.V.E. (Building Resilience and Adventure for Veterans Empowerment) Training, led by DTCare, Courtney Robson, and?Joe Brazzle, a U.S. Army veteran, licensed therapist, and expert in adventure-based counseling. This certification is a commitment to empowering veterans through structured, experience-driven healing. The B.R.A.V.E. protocol is designed to help veterans navigate PTSD, moral injury, and the challenges of transitioning back to civilian life using?adventure-based counselling, resilience training, and community-building. As?Program Director of Hero’s Compass, I believe that to truly lead, you must be willing to walk the same path as those you serve. A huge thank you to?Joe for guidance and expertise. This is just the beginning, we continue building a future where every veteran has the tools, support, and strength to thrive.

Some projects go beyond words — they become experiences that shape us. For the past few months, STARTERPS has been honored to provide interpretation for DTCare skillshare sessions, connecting Ukrainian art therapists with global expertise. Our incredible interpreter, Mariana Khovan, has been at the heart of these sessions, witnessing firsthand the resilience, dedication, and compassion of those using art to help others heal in wartime Ukraine. ?? Mariana shares her experience: "I always look forward to these meetings, as I enjoy the relaxed, friendly atmosphere they provide. Dana Elmendorf, MA, ATR-BC, LPC, the host, is invariably warm, good-natured, compassionate, and patient. Moreover, I’m always curious to learn what the participants of the calls have to share — what’s been happening 'on the ground' in the world of art therapy in wartime Ukraine. I truly admire the dedication of these people to the work they do, their devotion to helping those in need feel better, and their commitment to continue doing what they’re doing, no matter what’s happening around them and in the world today. I feel very grateful to DTCare for being there for our therapists in these challenging times, and to STARTERPS for letting me be part of that." Huge thanks to DTCare for supporting Ukrainian therapists in these difficult times and to Dana for leading these meetings with warmth and patience. We’re proud to be part of this journey. If your organization is working across languages and cultures, STARTERPS is here to ensure every word carries the impact it deserves. ?? Big missions deserve clear voices. Let’s make it happen — reach out today!
