Every weekday, 3 things happen first thing in the morning. 1. The soft tone of "Milky Way" starts chirping at me from my phone. ?? 2. As I roll over to mute the tunes, I hear the coffee pot heating up and the aroma of Hazelnut hits my nose. ? 3. I hear Thad's ears slap against his head as he shakes off his drowsiness, and he comes running into my room, jumps on the bed, and lay's down next to me as he anxiously waits to take me on my morning walk. ?? So grateful for the combination of these 3 things that kick off the first 60 seconds of my Tuesday. ?? It's go time. ??♂? On April 1st, 2023 I launched a podcast (in hindsight - maybe not the best date) and I remember the first 72 hours the podcast was live, not a single person hit play. ? At that moment, I made a decision that I was going to turn off all the push notifications about the numbers and just do what I enjoy doing - finding story tellers in Austin TX who have a message that'll light your internal fire. ?? Fast forward to today, and when running a google search for something completely unrelated to the pod, I came across a site that tracks all podcasts that are dropping at least 1 episode per month. ?? I was shocked to find out that of the ~3.3 million podcasts globally, mine has made it to the top 5% of shows being listened to. ??
