As we continue our celebration of Women's History Month, we're honored to share the inspiring story of Drew Williams, Property Manager at Terraces at High Mountain in Huntsville, Alabama. "Growing up, I was always drawn to the strong women in my family. Despite being surrounded by my dad and two older brothers, I knew I wanted to embody the resilience, love, and determination I saw in my mother and grandmothers. Their strength has been my greatest inspiration. While my dad was deployed, my mom raised three kids, ensuring we always felt supported. No matter how demanding life was, she gave us her all. As we grew older, she pursued her dreams, earning her LPN license and quickly rising to a Director of Operations position in her industry—proving that ambition and motherhood go hand in hand. My maternal grandmother battled breast cancer with unwavering courage. Even in her hardest moments, she shared her journey with me, teaching resilience through her transparency. She never missed a dance recital or special moment, showing me that true strength is found in presence and love. Raising three boys alone, my paternal grandmother never made excuses—only the best of every situation. She worked tirelessly while caring for everyone around her, balancing a full-time career with endless generosity. She has always been honest about her life’s journey, sharing her experiences so I can learn from both her triumphs and struggles. Her work ethic and gratitude continue to inspire me. I owe my ambition, passion, and strength to these three incredible women. Their love and perseverance have shaped not just who I am, but the woman I strive to be every day." Continuing our Women's History Month series, we're thrilled to share the inspiring story of Megan Roberts, a Leasing Consultant at Meridian at Grandview in Columbus, OH. "Several years ago, I found myself in a pretty unhealthy physical, mental and emotional place. I had poor lifestyle habits, poor ways of thinking, and anytime I tried to make a change I couldn't find myself able to stay disciplined or consistent enough to do so. At the time, I remember seeing one of my girlfriends start documenting their health/ growth journey online, and seeing her results inspired me to make some changes. I ended up reaching out to her and she had introduced me to some resources that got me started on my path, but the thing that began helping me stay accountable and consistent long term had been surrounding myself with more women who were also committed to their own growth. Throughout the years, women have been my teachers, mentors, inspiration, and their support has helped me transform into a much healthier and happier version of myself. I have learned that women play a vital role in creating the environment for others to grow. The thoughts, feelings, and actions of women matter significantly to not only personal development, but the development of family, teams, organizations, and community. I am deeply inspired by the countless women who embrace responsibility for their lives, motivating me to do the same for mine; and with that, I am forever grateful. Drucker + Falk appreciated having the opportunity to attend the recent 30th Anniversary of the Hampton Roads Real Estate Market Review & Forecast, hosted by E.V. Williams Center for Real Estate, ODU! This insightful event provided a deep dive into the current state and future trends of the Hampton Roads real estate market. Speakers shared about the challenges of increasing prices and interest rates, as well as the exciting developments surrounding the new Dome venue in Virginia Beach's Surf Park. Experts also discussed the potential effects of changes to tariffs, housing, and labor. A key takeaway was the resilience of the Hampton Roads office market, outperforming national vacancy rates.
