Last week I posted a video showcasing Flyability's 'drone in a roll cage' solution that we've tested personally...then I saw another very similar company at Geo-Week...now this video pops up...I keep seeing more of these drones focused less on avoiding obstacles and, well, just accepting that it's going to happen and embracing collisions.... The ‘AutomatedTrain’ research project is bringing fully automated, driverless trains to Germany. Together with Siemens Mobility, Bosch Engineering GmbH and TU Dresden, state-of-the-art technology is being developed to make trains safer and more efficient - based on ETCS. By 2026, the fully automated test operation of two train prototypes with sensor technology and AI for obstacle detection will start, while Deutsche Bahn will use long-distance drones to efficiently monitor its 60,000 km long rail network. ??
