When I spoke to nature restoration teams worldwide, they all shared one challenge: showing their impact in an engaging way. Partnering with DroneDeploy meant we're now enabling projects worldwide to showcase their impact through automated mapping. With just a basic drone, projects can now capture their sites and show the impact they are making with detailed 2D/3D maps and immersive 360° views. The quality sometimes still blows my mind. You can even spot individual flowers blooming! What's next? We're beta testing DroneDeploy's AI to automatically identify and track trees, making impact reporting way more precise. Big shoutout to Rebecca L. for allowing us to experiment with the beta product. As part of my Turfgrass Management class, I had the opportunity to create a looping video showcasing a 3D map generated with DroneDeploy for a field analysis. It was an awesome experience learning how to integrate drone technology with turfgrass management to assess field conditions and make data-driven decisions. This project has further strengthened my skills in using technology for precision agriculture and the importance of visualizing field data to optimize turfgrass health. Looking forward to applying this knowledge in real-world scenarios! What an incredible few days at Groundbreak! I had the opportunity to participate in two panels: “How to Make Implementation & Adoption Stick” and “3 Top Strategies for Driving Successful Procore Adoption.” It was a privilege to share ideas and learn from so many talented and passionate professionals in our industry. A true highlight of the event was our team winning the Groundbreaker Award for Excellence in Project Delivery with our trade partners at Comfort Systems and Owner UAB for the UAB Genomics Project. This recognition belongs to the entire team who have worked tirelessly to bring this world-class facility to life. I’m so proud to be part of such a dedicated group. This project holds a special place for me personally, as it’s the project where I began our Procore BIM journey. We’ve also been fortunate to integrate tools like Trimble laser scanning, DroneDeploy 360 photos, drone flights, and Procore’s project management and field tools to streamline workflows and enhance precision. It’s been a rewarding experience every step of the way. Thank you to everyone who made Groundbreak so special—attendees, speakers, and vendors alike.
