Incredibly proud of my team and everyone across Droga5 Dublin who helped turn a last minute idea into a hilarious and hugely successful campaign for our client Lidl Ireland Dupes have reached a new level of ubiquity in culture and Lidl has championed the look-alike before the look-alike got cool. Whether it’s Weetabix’s little sister Bixie, Oreos cool cousin Neo Lidl has always prided itself on creating charmingly cheeky dupes. So we decided to pull off their best dupe yet…..enter Maul Pescal. A brilliant culture-led idea executed on TikTok with a simple poster, the unofficial promise of a true Paul sighting and an audience of super PAUL fans fanned by content drops throughout the week.
