?? Meet Steve Morehead, one of our dispatchers! Steve has only been with K&J for a month and a half, but he has been associated with us for a long while. "I have always seen great things with this company and now, being part of it, I like the teamwork and camaraderie needed to get the job done, from order to offload," Steve said. Before coming to K&J Steve worked as a fuel dispatcher, but he has also been a driver and worked in customer service. "I like the logistics of putting together loads, working with drivers, and collaborating with customers and vendors to improve efficiencies, helping others where I can," Steve said. "The beautiful sunrises are also a bonus!" In his spare time, Steve likes to walk his two Great Danes, read ???, bike ???, fish ??, and volunteer. Throwback to the South Dakota Trucking Association's Annual Convention a few weeks ago! We were blessed to have a lot of K&J team members representing us. K&J drivers Robert Hamilton and Brad Hendriks competed for SD Driver of the Year and driver Jeff Eschen received the Chairman's Award for his participation in the South Dakota Road Team. We are so proud of you all!

?? Meet Tom Murphy, our Director of Business Development! Tom has been at K&J for just over 2 years. "I had been acquainted with several folks from K&J over the years through my involvement with the SDTA," Tom said. "K&J has such a great reputation in the community, and I felt like it would be a huge honor and success to work for K&J. That is definitely true." When Tom first joined our team he was part of dispatch. "I sat in dispatch/ops for my first 2 years at K&J, which gave me a great insight into how our trucks move, the freight that we haul, etc. Having that knowledge and experience made me realize that something was missing," Tom said. "So, I have recently transitioned into my new role as Director of Business Development. This role will allow me to utilize some of my other tools and skills. My short and long-term goals are pricing, finding new customers, nurturing relationships with current customers, and supporting the long-term vision and path for the company." In his spare time, Tom enjoys volunteering as part of the South Dakota Trucking Association's Executive Committee and on the Issues Management Council with the Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce. He also loves spending time at the lake, fishing, and hunting! ?? Tom and his wife of 26 years share three boys who are all currently in college. Thanks for being part of K&J, Tom!
