We are Growing!!! With Kristin Lehman and Juli Shively
We at Hewitt Research Foundation are thrilled to announce the launch of the Future Scholars Journal! It is a pioneering platform dedicated to nurturing and showcasing the academic and creative talents of young scholars across various disciplines. This journal aims to provide students with a unique opportunity to publish their research, essays, and creative works, fostering a community of aspiring intellectuals and innovators. We are proud to partner with Rachna Nath from DRIPBL (STEAM with a Purpose) and Juli Shively from Innovation World and the Global Innovation Field Trip for this initiative. Their expertise and dedication to educational excellence and innovation have been instrumental in bringing this project to life. The Future Scholars Journal stands as a testament to our commitment to educational excellence and accessibility. Inspired by the work of previous students, our journal seeks to empower young minds by giving them a voice in the academic world. The peer reviewed journal will feature contributions from high school students, covering a wide array of topics from STEM to the humanities. Key features of the Future Scholars Journal include: ~ Peer-Reviewed Articles: Ensuring high standards and academic integrity. ~ Diverse Topics: Encouraging submissions in various fields to promote interdisciplinary learning. ~ Mentorship Opportunities: Connecting young authors with experienced researchers and educators. ~ Accessible Online Platform: Making the journal available to a global audience. We believe that early exposure to scholarly publishing can be a transformative experience for students, helping them to develop critical thinking and communication skills, gain confidence in their abilities, and prepare for future academic endeavors. High school programs like those run by Rachna and programs like those put on by Purdue University have shown that such initiatives can significantly enhance students' preparedness for college and their future careers. We invite students, educators, and researchers to support this initiative by contributing articles, offering mentorship, signing up to review, or simply spreading the word. The first edition of the Future Scholars Journal is now available on our website (see link in comment). Together, we can create a nurturing environment where future scholars can thrive and excel. Question for Our Community: What topics or areas of research would you like to see featured in future editions of the Future Scholars Journal? Your suggestions and feedback are invaluable as we continue to develop this platform. Let's embark on this exciting journey to inspire and elevate the next generation of scholars. #FutureScholarsJournal #EducationalExcellence #StudentEmpowerment #AcademicPublishing #HewittLearning
