Spearheaded by the Harold K. Brown Knowledge, Education and Empowerment Program, the Vote and Amplify campaign is aimed at engaging with students of color — Black students, in particular — to inform them about the issues in the upcoming general election and empower them to affect change by exercising their right to vote. It’s an honor to build on the legacy of Dr. Harold K. Brown’s consistent and unwavering passion and service towards civic engagement! We had a great rollout of our “VOTE & AMPLIFY” Campaign last spring and look forward to continuing this critical effort in the fall. Working with community partners such as DREAMS+DUCATS and the San Diego Urban League Young Professionals, we will continue to educate and empower students at SDSU to become leaders in civic engagement!
