Incarceration is not a substitute for treatment. When people return home, they're more vulnerable to overdose and relapse. People-centered harm reduction policies and effective treatment are still the key to saving communities. #PublicHealthisPublicSafety

Too many American families have to decide between feeding their family and paying their electricity bill. One of the best solutions we have is affordable, clean energy. We're champions of the Inflation Reduction Act because it's made energy-efficient home upgrades like heat pumps and solar panel installations more accessible for the average family. #cleanenergy #poverty #family

We talk a lot about the big dreams we have for our communities and our country, but what does it take to make those dreams a reality? ?? It sounds simple, but it means working together. In the face of change, we need to focus on what unites us and where we can find common ground, not what divides us.

??? The White House isn't the only major player in the climate movement. This election season, California's voters showed us just how much climate #investments mean to them and approved $10 billion in climate and environmental projects. ?? Most of this new funding will benefit Californians directly as they adapt to effects of the #climate crisis like extreme heat. The sooner we take climate action, the more lives and dollars we save for years to come. We applaud California's new forward thinking legislation.
