Today is #WorldHealthDay 🌏 and the 77th anniversary of the founding of World Health Organization This month at Dream Networks, we are focussing in on the impacts of play on health. To celebrate World Health Day, we are sharing the importance of urban green spaces on social inequalities and health. Over half of the global population lives in urban areas, and the WHO recommends that everyone should live within 300 meters of green spaces. Therefore, it's crucial to incorporate health considerations into the planning of public spaces. Every 2 minutes a woman dies during pregnancy or childbirth. Most of them could be saved with the right care at the right time. We recognise that each child has unique interests, preferences, fears, and needs. ASD affects approximately 1 in 36 children, although many (often girls) will not be diagnosed until adulthood. Like all children, autistic children benefit from knowing they are doing well, so remember to acknowledge their success and contributions. Anzania: Eco Park ⚲ Kenya Anzania is a social enterprise dedicated to transforming degraded landscapes and turning them into recreational green spaces. Concepts range from a bamboo forest inviting exploration to a towering timber treehouse, water play zone, and a balance challenge area. Dream networks partnered with Anzania to design play spaces within the eco park. Regenerative spaces, where nature and play coincide. Anzania’s ambition is to become Kenya’s first eco-positive leisure venue. This entails that the site, buildings, location and activities promote sustainability and nurture a connection between visitors and nature.
