In today's manufacturing manufacturers place a strong emphasis on safety along with a clean work environment! Today's manufacturing is also very fast paced with many different challenges requiring employees to be able to think critically in teams to find workable solutions. Dream It Do It WNY is helping to eliminate these misperceptions about manufacturing and show the future workforce what manufacturing is and especially what it isn't! OUR MISSION The Dream It Do It Western New York mission is to increase the skilled workforce pipeline entering manufacturing careers. OUR VISION DIDIWNY is the catalyst organization of the Dream It Do It manufacturing career initiative with a vision to provide Allegany County, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie and Niagara manufacturers with a labor force that has the skill and training levels required to meet their demands. Today our Bulldog Manufacturing students hosted an Open House for our community. Senior citizens and elementary students along with parents found out what makes this program so engaging for our students.
Area eighth-graders recently had the opportunity to explore the different pathways available at CAM P-TECH in Springville and WNY P-TECH in Dunkirk! ?????? Both centers held Discovery Days, where middle schoolers could tour the facility, meet staff, and interact with current students. Today was a manufacturing tech tour at Seal & Design in Clarence, NY! 13 students from Burgard High School got an inside look at career opportunities, the production process, the variety of equipment used, and gained an understanding of planning and logistics. ???? This past Saturday, 15 incredible students from local middle and high schools got hands-on welding experience building rocket stoves, heard from an inspiring woman in the industry, learned about the education and training offered at Northland Workforce Training Center and toured the facilities. This month is all about celebrating women’s achievements—past, present, and future—and these young women are ready to make history! ??? A special thank you to Candice Pineau for your words of encouragement and sharing your career story with these young women.?Thank you to Northland Workforce Training Center for partnering for use of the facility, connecting us with a faculty member, and asking your students to volunteer to work alongside the students.
