Non-profit mentoring organization serving vulnerable youth in Indianapolis, IN. DREAM Alive seeks to end the cycle of poverty by mentoring youth to develop career paths and become civic-minded leaders. Founded by former Indianapolis Colts player Tarik Glenn in 2001, DREAM Alive mentors approximately 500 youth per year, engaging with about 250 volunteers, and collaborating with over 40 local and national businesses.

Our scholars had an incredible time yesterday at Old National Bank when we visited for a Career Field Trip! Our students loved learning about the different careers within the bank and a few of them were so inspired… they asked for an application to work there!!! Thank you Old National Bank for making it such a fun and educational experience for our kids! We are so grateful! 💙💛

We are beyond grateful to Pacers Sports & Entertainment for hosting us for Mentoring Night at the Pacer Game. Leaders from Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis, & DREAM Alive invested in our scholars for a pre-game program focused on self-mentoring. Our scholars and mentors also received a game experience along with a few of our scholars getting a chance to represent DA at halftime. It was an amazingly impactful experience for our scholars. Literally the first thing one of our scholars said when we got in the car afterwards was “I’ll remember this forever.” Thank you so much Pacers Sports & Entertainment, and thank you to our panel leaders and DA mentors who invested quality time into our scholars! #mentoring #indy

Just wrapped up our 20th Annual DREAM Christmas celebration where 200 DA 8th graders provide holiday presents and a party for deserving elementary students in IPS. Great night! We have some amazing youth in our city doing amazing things! There’s so much to share from tonight, but right now I just want to quickly share about two. First of all, there is no greater feeling than seeing a DREAM Alive alumni volunteer with us as mentors once they are “adulting!” Shout out to Jazmine Brownlow and Abby Gasama for their investment in our youth after being DA scholars from 7-12th grade. I got to see and catch up with both of them tonight, so cool. I can’t wait to work for both of you some day. Also, it was a sincere pleasure to spend some time with Mayor Joe tonight.
