Eaton joined the DRP Board in February 2024 and is the President & CEO of the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada He is a USMC veteran and served as an Infantry Platoon Commander in Iraq in 2003. Eaton earned an MBA at London Business School, BS in Biology from Stanford University, and was a researcher at the Brookings Institute. "We’re growing rapidly, and ensuring Reno keeps all the amazing parts of being the Biggest Little City will require that we’re actively participating in our community. To encourage participation, I believe we need a clean, safe downtown where everyone feels welcome. Exciting news coming out of J Resort as they announce further investment in Downtown Reno by announcing $130 million in new investments. This new investment includes a new J Resort’s Festival Grounds, a new 400-seat banquet hall called Rolling Art and a new west expansion that includes an 800-seat banquet and meeting space that will also have a spa and an indoor-outdoor rooftop pool. “We have over $400 million currently invested in downtown Reno,” CEO Jeff Jacobs said in a text message. “With the additional $130 million to be spent, we will have invested close to $550 million.” Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/gB3wQBBY

Courtney Meredith joined the DRP board in 2023 and represents the Reno Riverwalk District. She is the co-Founder, Senior Design Strategist, and Creative Director for Design on Edge and has received numerous awards in marketing, design, and advertising. Courtney is a co-author to the first pictorial manuscript for the Riverwalk District and a mentor and speaker for students in the local education system. "Having been a part of the Riverwalk District for many years, I am continually inspired by the positive changes in Downtown Reno,” Courtney said. “The revitalization efforts have not only enhanced our public spaces but have also fostered a sense of community and pride among residents and businesses.
