Tomorrow, Feb. 11 is a special election day in King County. DSA recommends voting yes on Seattle Proposition 1B. Prop 1B dedicates $10 million annually from existing payroll tax revenues for a five-year social housing pilot with oversight from the city’s Office of Housing. Unlike Prop 1A, which imposes a 5% payroll tax on large businesses, Prop 1B supports affordable housing while protecting downtown's competitiveness.?
